WESTERN WASHINGTON COVERAGE MAP

Northern Coverage in Green is 147.2 plus with a 107.2 tone

Centeral Coverage in Orange is 147.2 plus with a 123.0 tone

South Coverage in Blue is on 147.2 plus with a 127.3 hz tone

Coastal Coverage in Red is on 147.28 plus with a 127.3 hz tone.

UHF coverage is also available on:

Centeral Coverage on 443.4 plus with a 123.0 hz tone

South Coverage on 441.3 plus with a 127.3 hz tone.



It is important to understand that these coverage maps reflect areas that can

be accessed with a 25 watt moble and an outside antenna.

Hand held coverage is very poor as the stations are located on mountain tops many miles from populated areas.

I can't stress how important it is to understand where the tone boundries are.
You will hear the repeater just fine in all of the outlined areas but you need to be aware of the tone for the area you are operating.
The map is pretty accurate.
I suggest putting the frequencies and tones in memories 1 thru 4 so that they are on hand as you are moving from one area to another.
I know this is complicated but the costs of making it
completely automatic is beyond my means.
